I am thrilled that my novel, "Bukal Sa Dibdib", sponsored by the Philippine Department of Health, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, has already been printed and is now being distributed for free in communities.
There are already a lot of materials on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding up to six months and tips on how to successfully breastfeed. The novel is not a manual or a brochure. It is, rather, a love story that highlights how breastfeeding is a beautiful part of parenting and family life, and how it further strengthens the bond between couples. I'm hoping that the emotional impact of the novel on readers will help raise awareness on how breastfeeding is such a miraculous gift that no one should ever refuse or take for granted.
